Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys' Hockey

The spiritual leader of the Red Knights and of the Benilde-St. Margaret’s community is Campus Minister Mike Jeremiah, who is beginning his 50th year at BSM and his 14th season serving as chaplain of the BSM Boys’ hockey team.

"Faith is definitely a key component in our hockey program," Mr. J said. "We not only care about how these young men do on the ice; we care deeply about how they do in life, and faith is truly the foundation upon which a successful life is based."

Mr. J and Coach Pauly conduct three Chapels with the team during the
season, emphasizing for the student-athletes the importance of living a life in keeping with the calling they have received as sons of God, living as young men of honor and of integrity.

He began his work as Campus Minister at Benilde-St. Margaret's in the Fall of 1975, after graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a masters degree in secondary education.

As he begins this 50th year, Mr. J is most thankful for his role in the
Boys’ hockey program and for the many other ways he is able to touch the hearts and the lives of Red Knights, young and old, through his work at BSM.
