ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Adam Marshall scored twice and Carson Limesand turned in a 26-save performance as Benilde-St. Margaret's opened the season with a 7-2 win over St. Michael-Albertville.

A four-goal opening period cleared the way to the victory and started when Asher Connolly converted a Marshall rebound at the game's six minutes, 25 second mark.

Just 79 seconds later, Marshall got himself open in the middle of the slot and one-time a pass from behind the net by Jackson Bisson for a 3-0 lead.

With 2:02 to play in the opening frame, Yakesh and Bisson worked a give-and-go entering the offensive zone, with Yakesh taking a goalmouth feed and beating STMA's Aaron Loch for a 4-0 lead.

The Red Knights then scored the first two goals of the second period to take a 6-0 lead.

Forty-two seconds later, Grant Ellings got on the scoresheet when newcomer Nick Mikan had a wrap-around attempt stopped by Loch but Ellings poked home the loose puck.

Adam Marshall opened the 2020-21 campaign with a three-point performance.
