Red Knight JV cruises to win over Blake

Norris, Baird lead the way with three-point efforts.

HOPKINS, Minn. -- Ryan Baird and Ben Norris each scored twice and added an assist as the Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity cruised past Blake, 7-0.

Baird's first goal opened the scoring just three minutes, 50 seconds into the contest and would prove to be his second game-winner of the season.

He and Norris then scored 62 seconds part late in the second period and Quinn Schliesman scored with one second remaining in the frame to send the game into the final period with the visitors holding a 4-0 lead.

Mason Stenger scored his first goal of the season with 6:09 to play in the game and Carter Strom did the same, on the power play, with 3:08 to play and send the game's final minutes into running time.

Norris then capped of the scoring by adding a power-play tally with 1:50 to play in the game.


Ryan Baird has scored points in each of BSM's first four games.

The Red Knights had a commanding 43-12 advantage in shots on goal with Sam Schumacher recording the shutout for his first win of the season.

BSM is in action again Tuesday when it hosts Metro West Conference and cross-town rival St. Louis Park in a 5 p.m. game.
