Bookend goals by Bisson, Mikan, lead Red Knight win.

HOPKINS, Minn. --  Jackson Bisson opened the scoring, Nick Mikan finished it and Benilde-St. Margaret's scored a 5-2 win over Section 6AA foe Blake.

Bisson scored his third goal of the season, eight minutes, 43 seconds into the contest but Blake answered barely two minutes later to tie the score.

Grant Ellings restored the one-goal advantage with 1:35 to play in the opening frame and the Red Knights would never relinquish the lead.

The team's battled through a scoreless second period, in which they combined for just 12 shots on goal, and it wasn't until 4:49 into the final frame that Adam Marshall scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season to give him points in 14 of his last 15 games.

The Bears cut the lead to one with 5:08 to play but Mitchell Dokman won the ensuing faceoff and Michael Risteau's shot from inside the blue line, found its way over the glove of Blake goalie Aksel Reid's glove and, just five seconds after the hosts' goal, the Red Knights had a two goal lead once again.

Mikan closed out the scoring with 1:35 to play when Jonah Mortenson won a faceoff in the BSM zone to James Callahan, who moved the puck up the right side to Mikan, who skated into the Bears' zone and slid the puck into an empty net.

Jackson Bisson's 20th career goals opened the game's scoring.

By out-shooting their hosts in the first and last periods, the Red Knights had a 27-18 advantage in shots on goal, with Carson Limesand making 16 saves for his fourth win of the season and 44th of his career as he closes in on Jake Schumann's school record of 51.

BSM is home again Tuesday when it hosts cross-town rival St. Louis Park in a Metro West Conference game, scheduled for a 7 p.m. opening faceoff.
