Dokman's first-period goals ignite 5-1 victory.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Mitchell Dokman scored twice in the opening period to spark a 5-1 Benilde-St. Margaret's victory over Metro West Conference foe Chaska.

ON THE DOCK -- After an outstanding junior varsity season last year, Mitchell Dokman has quietly been a key contributor while playing a bottom-six forward role this season.

He scored back-to-back goals in the first period versus the Hawks, giving him four goals and six points in eight games. His first goal of the afternoon would prove to be the game-winning goal.

CALL THE FIRST DEPARTMENT -- Adam Marshall is off to a torrid scoring pace this season, with points in all eight BSM games.

For the third time in eight games, he tallied a pair of goals and has a team-leading nine on the season, after sharing the team lead with 18 last season.

He also has five multiple-point games with a three-point outing versus Chaska, giving him four games in a row with at least two points.

In his third varsity season, Marshall has not missed a game, playing 64 consecutive games, tallying 34 goals and 72 points during that time.

THE PRODUCTION LINE -- Marshall's not the only play racking up significant point totals this season.

Adam Marshall extended his point-scoring streak to eight games with his third two-goal game of the season.

He has been paired with Asher Connolly and Jackson Bisson on the Red Knights' to line, which has scored 20 goals and 48 points in eight games.

Connolly leads the team with 12 assists while recording 16 points and Bisson has seven goals and 15 points.

DEFENSE ON THE OFFENSIVE -- BSM has gotten 16 goals and 41 points from its defense this season.

All but one of the Red Knights' defensemen who have played this season are juniors and are led by Colorado College-commit Tristan Sarsland who leads BSM on the back end with six goals and 13 points.

Assistant captain Brady Yakesh leads the team's defensemen, and is second overall, with nine assists.

Senior co-captain James Callahan is fourth amongst the team's defensemen in scoring but leads the team in time on ice while. In his fourth season, he has not missed a game, playing in 90 consecutive games.

Callahan recently signed a tender with the St. Louis Jr. Blues of the North American Hockey League for the 2021-22 season.

STANDING TALL -- The win over Chaska marked the third time in seven games that Carson Limesand has seen a shutout bid thwarted in the third period.

However, the senior co-captain saw his numbers improve as he won his seventh game of the season and, with his 47th career win, closed to within four of the Jake Schuman's school record of 51 victories.

With the win over the Hawks, Limesand saw his goals against average fall to 1.57 and his save percentage go up to .932 on the season.

THE METRO WEST -- Tied for the conference lead with 12 points, BSM plays the second of two four-point games on the season, Tuesday, when the Red Knights travel to the Victoria Rec Center to take on Chanhassen with a chance to take sole possession of first place in conference play.

Tuesday's game is slated for a 7 p.m. start and marks the first of five consecutive road games.
