No. 15 Edina scores six in the second to knock off No. 4 BSM.

EDINA, Minn. -- Fourth-ranked Benilde-St. Margaret's was 10-0-0 on the season when scoring the game's first goal and 11-0-0 when leading after the first period so, when Jackson Bisson's first-period power-play goal stood up for a 1-0 lead at the intermission, the Red Knights were in a familiar position.

But the second period was all Edina as the 15th-ranked Hornets scored six times, the first two within 10 seconds of each other, to claim a 6-2 win over BSM.

Bisson scored on a back-door feed from Adam Marshall to give the Red Knights a lead, four minutes, 31 seconds into the contest.

They bottled up the Hornets for over 19 minutes before A.J. Doll and Ryan Andor scored goals 10 seconds apart and, just 2:20 into the second period, the home team had taken the lead for good.

BSM made a goalie change to start the third-period and Charlie Frattalone stopped all 11 shots he faced in the final 17 minutes to give his team a chance to get back in the game.

However, it was the Hornets' turn to shutdown the Red Knights, limiting the guests to just five shots on goal in the final period and a power-play goal by Drew Stewart on a goalmouth scramble with 10:39 to play in the game.

Adam Marshall set up both BSM goals and now leads the team in goals, assists and points.

Edina scored their six second-period goals on just 15 shots and held a 33-18 advantage of BSM for the game.

The Red Knights won't have to wait long to gain a measure of redemption as they play host to seventh-ranked Hill-Murray tomorrow. Opening faceoff at the St. Louis Park Rec Center is slated for 7 p.m.
