ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn -- Benilde-St. Margaret's controlled much of the play but it was Moorhead's Abe Carlson's goal with 20 seconds to play in the second period that decided the game as the Spuds handed the Red Knights a 1-0 loss in junior varsity action.
The hosts had a shots on goal advantage in all three periods and finished by out-shooting Moorhead, 28-22.
Brennan Chapman stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced while Jacob Vannett made 28 saves to earn the shutout.
The Red Knights are in action again, Thursday, when they will face Cretin-Derham Hall in a 5 p.m. contest at Highland Arena in St. Paul.
