BSM garners six-goal win behind Baird's five-point outing.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Ryan Baird scored four goals and recorded nine shots as the Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity posted a 7-1 win over Holy Angels.

Baird scored the only goal of the opening period and his second goal, three minutes, six seconds into the second period, to give the Red Knights a 2-0 lead.

Late in the period, Nik Wahlstrom scored the first of his two goals and, with 1:10 to play in the frame, Baird completed his hat trick to send his team into the final period with a 3-0 lead.

The duo then scored the first two goals of the final period as Wahlstrom scored 1:54 into the final frame and Baird capped off his four-goal outing with a power-play just over two minutes later.

Charlie Hoch had the primary assist on a pair of Red Knight goals.

The Stars finally got on the scoreboard with 2:35 to play in the game but, 19 seconds later, Liam Kyle struck for the Red Knights to finish the game's scoring.

BSM owned a 48-13 advantage in shots on goals with Charlie Winegarner collecting his first win of the season by stopping 12 shots.

The Red Knights are on the road for their next three games, starting with Saturday's noon affair with Mahtomedi at the St. Croix Valley Rec Center in Stillwater.
