Yakesh helps set up three consecutive goals in shutout victory.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Brady Yakesh assisted on three consecutive goals and Adam Marshall scored twice, giving him eight goals and 11 points in his last four games, as fourth-ranked Benilde-St. Margaret's handed Holy Angels a 5-0 defeat.

The scoring started five minutes, 37 seconds into the game when Tristan Sarsland picked up a loose puck behind his own net, skated out to the right and made a cross-ice pass to Marshall, who collected the puck after entering the Stars' zone.

From there, Marshall used a quick deke to get Holy Angels goalie Bryce Hess to commit and he then tucked the puck behind the Stars' netminder.

Exactly six minutes later, Yakesh started a rush up ice, getting the puck to Mitchell Dokman, who then moved the puck to Brendan McMorrow on the right side.

McMorrow carried the puck into the right circle before giving it back to Dokman in the slot and, from there, he scored his sixth goal of the season.

The Red Knights kept the pressure on during the season period but the Stars got a chance to cut the lead in half when Marshall was whistled for tripping at 4:19.

However, BSM capitalized on the situation when they got a 3-on-2 short-handed rush with Yakesh making a backhand pass across the top of the crease to McMorrow, who, with 5:25 gone in the middle frame, buried the puck before Hess could slide across his net.

Brendan McMorrow scored the Red Knights' third short-handed goal of the season and was on ice for four of the teams' final goals.

Two more goals in the final period finished off the Stars.

The first came just 48 seconds into the period when a re-group in the neutral zone saw Sarsland pass the puck from left to right to Yakesh, who carried the puck into the bottom of the right circle before sliding a pass across the bottom of the slot to Marshall, who tapped in his team-leading 16th goal of the season.

Gino Gatti capped off the scoring when he took a pass out of the right corner from Peter Giertsen with 59.8 seconds remaining on the game clock.

The Red Knights out-shot their guests in every period, finishing with a 46-19 advantage.

Mason McElroy won his 11th consecutive game, posting his third shutout of the season by stopping all 19 Holy Angels shots.

BSM plays the first of three consecutive road games, Saturday, when the Red Knights travel to the St. Croix Valley Rec Center in Stillwater to face Class A, third-ranked Mahtomedi. Opening faceoff is slated for 2 p.m.
