Red Knights roll to 14-0 win over Kennedy.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Two goals in the game's first 73 seconds sent third-ranked Benilde-St. Margaret's to it's 14th consecutive victory as the Red Knights handed Bloomington Kennedy a 14-0 defeat.

BSM's starting forward line of Mitchell Dokman, Adam Marshall and Brendan McMorrow, which combined for 10 points on the night, got the scoring started early as Dokman scored just 35 seconds into the game on a breakaway.

It took just 38 more seconds for the Red Knights to get their second goal as Gavin Reed picked up a Michael Risteau rebound in the left circle and rifled a shot into the back of the net.

The scoring abated for the next four minutes before Ben Norris scored the first of his two goals when he took a pass from Caleb Koskie on the left side and his shot found the back of the net before Kennedy goalie Dominick Walton could slide across his crease.

BSM then got back-to-back goals from their captains as Brady Yakesh scored his seventh goal of the season and Tristan Sarsland followed with his eighth.

Like they did to open the scoring, BSM's top line closed out the scoring in first period as McMorrow and Marshall worked the puck up the ice and Dokman, trailing the play, took a cross-ice pass from Marshall to make it a 6-0 game heading into the first intermission.

The Eagles, after being outshot, 22-1, in the opening period, tightened things up in the second period, recording nine shots on goal. However, the only three goals of the middle stanza belonged to the Red Knights.

Mitchell Dokman scored twice, added two assists and was +4 on the night.

It was Norris who started the second period scoring with his second goal of the game coming 6:52 into the frame as he tipped a shot by Koskie.

Marshall, the team's scoring leading, finally got into the goal-scoring parade with 5:50 to play in the period when his shot from the middle of the slot resulted in his 19th goal of the season.

The final goal of the middle frame came via the power play when Mason Stenger collected a loose puck in front of the Eagles' net and shoved home his second goal of the season.

BSM didn't let up in the third period, out-shooting their hosts 17-0 while scoring five times.

The third period scoring started quickly as Ryan Gearen scored just 20 seconds into the final period while Peter Giertsen scored just over four minutes later.

With 7:39 to play in the final period, the Red Knights threw mixed players on their power play and Aiden Wahlstrom took advantage, scoring his first career goal in 40 varsity games.

The game's last two goals came just 29 apart when Caleb Koskie scored his third goal of the season to cap off a three-point night and Brendan McMorrow did likewise, notching his fourth of the season, with 3:24 to play in the game.

Overall, BSM held a 52-10 advantage in shots on goal and Mason McElroy collected his 13th win and fourth shutout of the season by stopping those 10 Kennedy shots.

Next up for the Red Knights is Tuesday's game versus Orono. Game time at the St. Louis Park Rec Center is slated for 7 p.m.
