ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Benilde-St. Margaret's scored seven times in the first period and Bergen Kopischke scored the game's final three goals as the Red Knights posted a 9-0 win over New Prague.
Mark Walsma's unassisted goal at two minutes, nine seconds of the opening period started the onslaught as seven different players scored those first-period goals.
David Langevin was next up, starting a run of six goals in 10 minutes at the 6:04 mark.
Jack Johnson and Aaron Hatlestad scored goals 16 seconds apart to make it 4-0 and then Henry Peterson and Oscar Waisanen scored 41 seconds apart and Kopischke closed out the first period with 48 seconds remaining in the opening stanza.
With New Prague making a goaltending change, the game settled down as the Red Knights would score just twice over the final 34 minutes, despite a 26-7 advantage in shots on goal.
Kopischke's second goal came with 43 seconds to play in the second period and he finished his hat trick with 9:43 to play in the game.
For the game, BSM had a 49-11 advantage in shots on goal. Jacob Diebel, in addition to making 11 saves for his second shutout of the season, collected his first assist as a Red Knight.
BSM will take a nine-game unbeaten streak into Tuesday's 5 p.m. game versus Holy Angels at Richfield Arena.
Ben Palmer recorded a season-high three assists.
