Minor makes college comittment
Red Knight junior defenseman headed to Minnesota State
After posting career-best numbers in 2024-25 for Benilde-St. Margaret's, junior defenseman Mason Minor has made a verbal commitment to attend and play his college hockey at Minnesota State University.
After leading the Red Knights in shots on goal (142), Minor is now sixth on the school's all-time list (327) and second amongst defensemen.
He also led BSM this past season with 29 assists and posted career-best numbers in goals (10), assists, points (39) and shots on goal.
In 78 career games, Minor has record 21 goals, 68 assists and 89 points.
An All-Metro West Conference pick his sophomore year, he has played in 78 of 81 games during his career.
Minor will round out the 2024-25 season when he joins the Cedar Rapids Roughriders in the USHL.
Mason Minor will join a Minnesota State program which has qualified for nine NCAA tournaments in the last 13 years, including a pair of Frozen Four appearances.
