Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys' Hockey

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Benilde-St. Margaret’s senior co-captain, Keegan Davis, will take part in the USA Hockey Boys 17 National Festival, July 7-13, at The Northtown Center in Amherst, N.Y.

The Festival is a District-team-based tournament, for which the 6-0, 170-pound Davis will be on of 16 players to represent Minnesota.

Davis went through three phases to reach this point.

Selection for the National Festival begins with a tryout among Section 6A and 6AA players nominated by their high school coaches.

Players selected to advance compete in three games against other section teams, and the top 54 players in that event advance to the CCM High Performance Final 54.

From the High Performance camp, 16 players are chosen to represent Minnesota at the National Festival.

Players chosen from the USA Hockey event will play for the 2025 U.S. Under-18 Select Team during the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, Aug. 11-16, in Brno, Czechia, and Trenčín, Slovakia. Team will play three games during pool play, followed by all eight teams advancing to a seeded, single-elimination playoff.

The teams in Pool A will play in Brno and features, Canada, Czechia, Finland and Switzerland. Pool B, playing in Trenčín, features Germany, Slovakia, Sweden and the United States.
