John Kernan scored the game's first and last goals, chipped in with an assist and led Benilde-St. Margaret's to a 4-3 win over Cretin-Derham Hall.

Kernan scored just 20 seconds into the contest and assisted on Sean O'Toole's goal at 9:17 of the opening frame as the Red Knights took a 2-0 lead.

Three minutes later, the Raiders had tied the score on unassisted goals by Dominic Shetka and Dante Pitera.

Although they had just two power-play chances, BSM converted one of them 2:48 into the second period as Jeff Spellmire scored his first goal of the season.

Evan Quirk-Becker tied the scored six minutes later but, with 32 seconds remaining in the period, Kernan got his second goal of the game and the hosts held on through the final period, killing a late penalty in the process, to seal the win.

Adam Clark picked up his third win of the season with a 22-save effort as both teams tallied 25 shots on goal.
