Alex Dale got Benilde-St. Margaret's on the scoreboard first but Edina scored the next four goals before coasting to a 7-2 victory over the Red Knights.

Dale's goal, eight minutes, eight seconds into the contest, gave the home team the initial lead but it took the Hornets just 100 seconds to tie the score.

That goal by Ben Walker was the first of three, in a 44-second span, by Edina, which had been outplayed for much of the first 10 minutes.

After that point, the Hornets controlled the game, limiting BSM, which had nine shots in the game's first 8:08, to just 10 shots over the game's final 37 minutes.

Dale and Oliver Shields-Nordess provided the Red Knights offense as each had a goal and an assist.

BSM returns to action Saturday when it travels to Duluth for a 1:30 p.m. contest with the Marshall School at Mars Lakeview Arena.
