Blessing pots winner in final minute

Michael Blessing assisted on Benilde-St. Margarets' first goal and scored the game winner with 45 seconds to play as the Red Knights claimed a 2-1 win over Totino-Grace.

BSM scored early, with Jeff Spellmire putting the Red Knights on the scoreboard just one minute, 13 seconds into the contest.

Between those two goals, the Red Knights and Eagles combined for 40 shots on goal and 15 power-play chances. However, Zach Billiet's power-play tally for Totino-Grace, at 2:30 of the second period, was the only other goal of the game.

Adam Clark raised his record to 10-0-0 on the season by stopping 16 shots as BSM held a 33-17 advantage in shots on goal.

The Red Knights are in action again when they face Irondale, Jan. 27, at Schwan's Super Rink at 5:30 p.m.
