Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys' Hockey

Michael Blessing had two goals and an assist, and Benilde-St. Margaret's won its eight consecutive game by defeating Robbinsdale Cooper, 6-1.

The Red Knights got three goals in just over four minutes, midway through the opening period, to take a 3-0 lead into the first intermission.

Oliver Shields-Nordness opened the scoring by converting a Taylor Topousis rebound with Joe Anderson and Blessing adding their own tallies to an opening stanza which saw BSM outshoot its host, 17-1, in the first 15 minutes.

Sean O'Toole scored the only goal of the second period before Jeff Spellmire and Blessing scored in the first four minutes of the third period.

Adam Clark stopped 10 shots, but Tom Monteiro scored on a breakaway with 24 seconds remaining in the game to spoil his bid for a seventh shutout.
