Section 6AA Playoff Pairings

Benilde-St. Margaret's received the fourth seed in the 2009 Section 6AA playoffs and will begin tournament play with a quarterfinal versus the fifth seed, Hopkins.

The Red Knights (20-6-0) and Royals (15-9-1) will meet at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center, Thursday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m.

Section 6AA playoff action gets underway, Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m., when eight-seeded Minneapolis East (14-8-3) hosts ninth-seeded Minneapolis West (1-24-0) at Victory Memorial Ice Arena.

The winner of that game will face top-seeded Eden Prairie (22-3-0), Thursday at the Eden Prairie Community Center.

No. 2 Minnetonka (18-7-0) hosts No. 7 Robbinsdale Cooper (6-18-1), Thursday, at the Pagel Activity Center at 7 p.m.

In a match up between Classic Lake Conference opponents, No. 3 Wayzata (16-8-1) will be the home team at the Plymouth Ice Center against Robbinsdale Armstrong (10-14-1), Thursday at 7 p.m.

Semifinal games are slated for Saturday, Feb. 28. The top half of the bracket will have its semifinal game at Braemar Arena at 4 p.m., featurning the winners of the No. 1 vs. No. 8/9 and No. 4 vs. No. 5 quarterfinals.

The semifinal in the bottom half of the bracket, featuring the No. 2 vs. No. 7 and No. 3 vs. No. 6 winners, will be held at the Bloomington Ice Gardens at 7:30 p.m.

The Section 6AA championship game will be held Thursday, March 5, at Mariucci Arena beginning at 8 p.m.
