Workman like effort gives Red Knight junior varsity a 5-0 win

Red Knights dominant in win over Raiders.

Michael Blessing scored a short-handed goal, set up the game's first goal and Benilde-St. Margaret's cruised to a 5-0 win over Cretin-Derham Hall.

The Red Knights got on the scoreboard at nine minutes, six seconds of the opening period when Blessing set up Lucas Dickison. Tyler Ellegard also assisted on the goal and all three players turned in two-point nights.

BSM scored three times in the second period with Blessing tallying a short-handed goal at 5:24. Linemates Nick Lauth and Dominic Burg scored goals 1:14 apart late in the period and Chris Flood scored an unassisted goal early in the third period to close out the scoring.

The Red Knights held a 38-6 advantage in shots on goal in the contest. Anders Jecha earned the shutout for the hosts.

BSM returns to action, Dec. 17, with a home game against North Suburban Conference foe Chisago Lakes.
