Joe Haselman broke a scoreless tie 13 seconds into the third period and Benilde-St. Margaret's scored four times in the final frame to claim a 4-0 win over Chisago Lakes.
Despite outshooting the Wildcats, 30-5, through two periods, the Red Knights were unable to beat Chisago Lakes goalie Ben Bratrud for the first 30 minutes of the game.
Haselman's goal finally broke the ice and, within six minutes, Mike Blessing and Sam Mogensen had added goals and Nick Lauth finished the scoring with 4:06 remaining in the contest.
BSM put 24 shots on goal in the final period and had a 54-7 advantage in the game. Isaac Melin made seven saves in posting his first shutout of the season.
The Red Knights return to action, Dec. 22, when they travel to Rochester to take on Century beginning at 5:30 p.m.
