Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys' Hockey

The Red Knights won their 10th game of the season, playing a solid game in defeating Spring Lake Park in convincing fashion by a score of 7 - 1.  BSM put 53 shots on the Spring Lake Park netminder in the victory.

The Red Knights opened the scoring at the 8:13 mark of the first period on a shot from Ryan Minkoff, with assists going to Joe Haselman and Michael Blessing.  Vince Beacom scored his 5th goal of the season 11:56 into the period from a feed from Tyler Ellegard.  Thirty two seconds later, BSM increase their lead to 3 - 0 on a goal from Robert Papetti, with assists from Taylor Topousis and Lucas Dickison.

The strong play continued into the second period as BSM added 3 more goals, scored by Dominic Burg from Vince Beacom and Joey Winter on the power play, then Michael Blessing assisted by Chris Flood and Joe Haselman, and the final goal of the period from Gabe MacDonald from Ned Nelson and Tyler Ellegard.  BSM headed into the 3rd period with a comfortable 6 - 1 lead.

The lone goal of the third period was scored by Vince Beacom, assisted by Dominic Burg 5:29 into the period.  Shots for the game were 53 -10 in a dominating performance.

The Red Knights will next take on Edina on Tuesday at Braemar at 5:00pm.
