Hopkins struck first just four minutes, five seconds into the game with the first of three power-play goals but Ian Thorstenson responded for the Red Knights, 27 seconds later.

The Royals would register another power-play goal in the opening frame to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

Hopkins closed to within two goals just 18 seconds after BSM's final goal but the Red Knights would hold on for the victory.

Wahlstrom and Woodford both had three-point nights while Ryan also added an assist.

The Red Knights road a 37-15 advantage in shots on goal to the victory.
