Hankinson sets up a pair in 3-1 win at Chanhassen.

VICTORIA, Minn. -- Jake Hankinson set up Benilde-St. Margarets' first two goals, Logan Lyke sealed the win with an empty-net goal and the Red Knights won their first Metro West Conference game of the season with a 3-1 victory at Chanhassen.

The teams skated to a scoreless tie through one period but, four minutes, 53 seoconds into the second period, Sam Ryan won a faceoff in the Chanhassen zone and headed to the front of the net. The puck came to Hankinson, whose blast was redirected by Ryan and gave the Red Knights a 1-0 lead.

After the Storm tied the game headed into the final period, Hankinson set up Aiden Wahlstrom's power-play goal with 6:17 to play, and Lyke's empty-net goal, with 1:05 to play in the game, sealed the win.

BSM had a 29-14 advantage in shots on goal and scored on two of four power-play chances.

Charlie Frattalone stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced to pick up the win.

Meanwhile, Frattlone turned aside 13 of the 14 shots he faced to backstop the win.

BSM returns to action, Saturday, when they are at the Richfield Arena for a 12 noon game versus Holy Angels.
