Callahan, Schweitzer tally three points each from the blue line.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Defensemen James Callahan and Nate Schweitzer each had a goal and two assists, and Benilde-St. Margaret's posted its fith shutout of the season in defeating crosstown rival St. Louis Park, 5-0.

With his third shutout of the season, Limesand moved into a tie for third on the Red Knights' all-time list, giving him eight for his career to tie him with Anders Jecha ('11).

An improving power play got the Red Knights on the board twice in the opening period, the first when Adam Marshall scored from the right faceoff, seven minutes, one second into the game.

The second came when Callahan snuck a pass through the slot to Jonah Mortenson on the right side, from where he had an open net to knock in his fifth goal of the season.

The two power-play tallies give BSM a .273 (6-for-22) conversion rate over their last five games.

The Red Knights were unable to get on the scoreboard at even strength until 5:46 remained in the second period when Will Thompson tipped Jonny Woodford pass from behind net, going up the slot to Callahan who, moving left to right, snapped off a shot from the top of the slot for a 3-0 lead.

Schweitzer then scored with 2:04 to play in the period when Jackson Bisson's pass through the slot found the Red Knight co-captain coming down the left side and he buried his shot from the left side of the slot for his 11th goal of the season, the most by a BSM defenseman since Nick Austin also scored 11 three seasons ago.

Nate Schweitzer's three-point night extended his point-scoring streak to six games, in which he has five goals and six assists.

Carson Limesand moved into a tie for third on BSM's all-time shutout list with the eighth of his career.

The game's final goal came 3:26 into the final period when Cooper Gay walked out of the left corner and took a shot from the goal line. The puck eluded St. Louis Park goal William Pinney.

Helping the Red Knights' cause in defeating an Oriole team which is both a Metro West Conference and Section 6AA foe, was a defensive effort which limited them to just 11 shots on goal, as BSM held a 32-11 advantage in shots.

The Red Knights close out the regular season Saturday, when they host Bloomington Kennedy on Senior Knight, where they will honor the teams' three seniors, co-captain Ian Bahr, Jett Johnson and Jonnie Vitelli
