ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Johnny Raymond scored to tie the score in the opening period and added a third-period goal in a short-lived comeback attempt as the Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity dropped a 7-3 decision to Moorhead.
Raymond's first goal came on the power play, with Riley Shannon and Noah Johnson providing assists.
Trailing 6-1, Grayson Quirk set up Raymond's second goal, with eight minutes, five seconds remaing in the game.
Less than three minutes later, Quirk tallied to cut the lead to three goals, but it was as close as BSM would get.
The Red Knights did, however, hold a narrow, 27-26 edge in shots on goal.
Tuesday, BSM will return to Metro West Conference play when they face St. Louis Park in a 5 p.m. contest at the SLP Rec Center.
Grayson Quirk had a goal and an assist in the third period.
