BSM junior varsity skates to 3-3 tie in season finale

Red Knights overcome early deficit to split points with Storm.

CHANHASSEN, Minn. -- Benilde-St. Margaret's overcame a pair of one-goal deficits, took a one-goal lead early in the third period before skating to a 3-3 tie with Chanhassen's junior varsity.

Each time the Storm took a lead, the Red Knights responded. The first time was when the hosts scored just 37 seconds into the game and held that lead for just over 20 minutes before Noah Johnson's power-play goal tied the game.

A little more than two minutes later, Chanhassen tallied a power-play goal, taking a 2-1 lead, but Grayson Quirk, who recorded a team season-high 10 shots on goal, even the game heading into the final period.

Charlie Moe scored 1:16 into the final frame and BSM looked as though they may escape with a win before the the Storm scored in the game's final five minutes to tie the game for a third time.

Henry Charcut stopped 20 shots as Chanhassen held a 23-19 edge in shots on goal.


Johnny Raymond finished the season by scoring in six of his last seven games.
