Grant Besse's four-point performance leads BSM in semifinal win.

T.J. Moore had a goal and three assists in helping BSM to its win over Elk River.

The Lineys accounted for four goals and Benilde-St. Margaret's used a 5-3 win over Elk River to advance to the championship game of the Sports Authority Holiday Hockey Classic for the second consecutive year.

Consisting of Grant Besse, Dan Labosky and T.J. Moore, the Lineys have combined for 32 goals and 74 points in 10 games on the season, tallying 11 points against the Elks as each scored a goal.

The trio hooked up eight minutes, 10 seconds into the game, with Labosky tallying his sixth of the season, to put the Red Knights on top but the Elks would tie the score just 1:22 into the second frame.

Moore got that goal back five minutes later before Besse made it a 3-1 game with 2:27 to play in the middle period.

Just 35 seconds later, Isaac Schwab cut the lead to one goal with his first goal of the season but, just nine seconds later, Spencer Naas struck for his 15th of the season and BSM went into the first intermission with a 4-2 lead.

Besse made it 5-2 with a power-play goal 1:33 into the final period but Elk River didn't give up, getting a goal from Andrew Zerban with 6:49 to play before the Red Knights closed out the win.

BSM will meet Wayzata in the championship game, Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. It will be the first of two meetings in six days between the fifth-ranked Red Knights and third-ranked Trojans. The teams are scheduled to meet Thursday at the St. Louis Park Rec Center as well in a game slated for 7 p.m.
