Duda's hat trick leads BSM to come-from-behind win.

Mark Kase's short-handed goal with 75 seconds to play provided the Red Knights with the winning margin.

Will Duda recorded a hat trick and Mark Kaske scored a short-handed goal with one minute, 15 seconds remaining in the game as the Benilde-St. Margaret's JV ended a six-game winless streak with a 4-3 win at Mounds View.

The Red Knights had not led until Kaske's 13th goal of the season.

With BSM short-handed by two players, Kaske forced a turnover inside the Red Knight blueline and rushed up the middle of the ice, splitting two Mustangs defenseman before breaking in and scoring on his 10th shot on goal of the night.

Duda accounted for the other three goals, getting BSM back to even at 1-1 just 22 seconds after it had fallen behind when he banged home a loose puck in front of the net.

Mounds View would again take a lead but Duda, with 2:14 to play in the opening period, walked out of the left corner and scored the first of his two unassisted goals of the night.

The hosts scored on the power play with nine seconds remaining in the first frame and held that lead until midway through the third period, when Duda tied the game with 8:57 to play.

Despite trailing, 3-2, after one period, BSM had outshot its hosts, 17-6, at that time and went onto hold a 35-29 edge. Peter Thome recorded the win by stopping 26 shots.

The Red Knights return home, Thursday, for a 5 p.m. game with Rochester Century.
