ANDOVER, Minn. -- Christian Beck, Wyatt Elder and Liam Kyle each had a goal and an assist and Benilde-St. Margaret's doubled up Andover in shot on goal to collect a 3-1 junior varsity win.

It took the Red Knights until the final five minutes of the opening period to get the offense going, with Elder giving the hosts a 1-0 lead with four minutes, 38 seconds to play in the opening frame.

Beck turned that into a 2-0 lead with 44 seconds remaining in the period and the score would remain that way for nearly 20 minutes.

The Huskies cut the lead in half, 3:34 into the third period and the game became a defensive battle, with just 10 shots on goal recorded between the two teams in 15 minutes.

BSM finally added an insurance when it went on the only power play of the third period with 4:13 to play in the game.

With 33 seconds remaining in the power play, at 2:50 left to play in the game, Kyle added an insurance marker to hand the visitors the 3-1 win.

Meanwhile, Charlie Winegarner stopped 13 shots while allowing just one goal for the second consecutive game.

The Red Knights return to action, Saturday, for a 12:30 p.m. matinee affair with Wayzata.

Charlie Weingarner allowed just one goal for the second consecutive game to backstop the Red Knights' win.
