Maple Grove goalie John Danielson stopped all 15 shots he faced in the third and the Crimson used a four-goal second period to hand Benilde-St. Margaret's a 6-2 junior varsity loss.
After scoring on the power-play to take a 1-0 first-period lead, the Crimson saw the Red Knights bounce back with a Nate Meyer goal, five minutes, 28 seconds into the second period.
However, Maple Grove would score three goals in a 3:11 span to take a 4-1 lead before Tanner Ahlborn's power-play goal got BSM back to within two goals.
It was as close as the home team would get, however, as Danielson stopped the final 17 shots he faced while the Crimson tacked on two more goals.
Jack Jablonski made his debut with the Red Knight JV and proceeded to set up both BSM goals.
The Red Knights are now idle until Dec. 28 when they take part in the Holiday Hockey Classic, taking on Centennial in a 12:30 p.m. game at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center.
