Game to be rescheduled at a future date

A day after the junior varsity game was postponed, officials from Benilde-St. Margaret's and Wayzata have elected to postpone Thursday's game indefinitely in the aftermath of last week's injury to Red Knight sophomore forward Jack Jablonski.

“Given the events of this past week, we came to a decision that it was in the best interest of our student-athletes to reschedule Thursday’s game,” Red Knights head coach Ken Pauly said. “Our first concern is the emotional well-being of our players and giving them a little more time was in order.”

No makeup date has been set for the game between the seventh-ranked Red Knights and the 12th-ranked Trojans.

BSM's next scheduled game is Saturday versus St. Louis Park. The junior varsity game is slated for 5 p.m. and the varsity game 7 p.m. at the St. Louis Park Rec Center.

For updates on Jablonski’s medical condition, please refer questions to Tom Hayes (612-873-3337) or Christine Hill (612-873-5719) at the Hennepin County Medical Center.
