Horn establishes record, Besse sets career high

Christian Horn established a new school scoring record and Grant Besse had a career-high seven points as Benilde-St. Margaret's routed Spring Lake Park, 15-0, for its third North Suburban Conference win of the season.

Horn got the game off to a quick start with his goal one minute, 39 seconds into the contest. He would score his second goal of the game just 54 seconds into the second period to tie Troy Riddle's school record of 166 career points and he then broke the record at 10:45 of the middle session when he set up Besse's third of four goals.

Besse, meanwhile, moved into third on BSM's all-time scoring list with 139 career points as he tallied four goals and added three assists on the night.

The line of Besse, T.J. Moore and Dan Labosky combined for 17 points on the night, including eight goals. Moore also had a hat trick on a night in which 14 of 18 skaters tallied points and eight players had multiple-point games.

The seventh-ranked Red Knights return to action, Thursday, with a key Section 6AA game at second-ranked Minnetonka. That game is slated for a 7 p.m. faceoff at the Pagel Activity Center.
