Illnesses, varsity call ups don't derail BSM junior varsity.

Despite dressing just 11 skaters due to illnesses and players being called up to the varsity, Benilde-St. Margaret's had 10 of those players record multiple-point outings in an 18-1 rout of Robbinsdale Cooper.

The Hawks put a momentary scare into the Red Knights as they scored on their first shot of the game, getting a power-play goal just two minutes, 11 seconds into the contest.

From that point, BSM dominated, finishing the game with a 74-4 advantage in shots on goal, a 43-9 advantage in faceoff wins and hat tricks from three different players.

Leading the charge was Austin Polson-McCannon, who tallied four goals, seven points, 10 shots on goal and a plus/minus rating of +10.

Matt Cornell also scored four goals and led the team with 15 shots on goal.

BSM returns home, Tuesday, when its hosts St. Francis at the St. Louis Park Rec Center in a 5 p.m. affair.
