Jungels records eights points as Red Knights cruise to victory

Freshman leads way in 21-goal assault.

Freshman Chase Jungels scored five goals and eights, pacing Benilde-St. Margaret's in a 21-0 win at Robbinsdale Cooper.

Nineteen of the Red Knights' 20 players recorded points, 14 of whom had multiple-point games and five had multiple-goal games.

BSM youngsters got plenty of ice time and responded with production offensively. Sophomore Zach had two goals and six points, sophomore Jack Lawton made his varsity debut and recorded an assist and was +4. Also making his varsity debut, sophomore Nate Meyer earned a call up from the junior varsity for the first time and had a goal and two assists.

The Red Knights scored on one of two power-play chances, with Hale tallying the marker. BSM scored four short-handed goals, including three in the first period, with T.J. Moore getting two of the three in the opening frame while Jake Horton and Dan Labosky also collected goals while killing penalties.

Anders Jecha, who also had an assist in the game, made seven saves and picked up his third shutout of the season with the win.

BSM, now 4-0-0 in North Suburban Conference play, is at home, Tuesday, for a 7 p.m. game with conference foe St. Francis.
