BSM scoring leader notches 10th career hat trick.

Grant Besse extended his point-scoring streak to 21 games with a six-point outing, including his 10th career hat trick, and Benilde-St. Margaret's coasted to an 8-1 win over St. Francis.

The Red Knights used a five-minute major power play in the first period to score three goals as Besse, Jonah Johnson and Jake Horton all got in on the power-play action and T.J. Moore tallied an unassisted goal as BSM took a 4-0 lead in the opening stanza.

After scoring the game's first goal, one minute, 19 seconds into the game, Besse scored just 1:41 into the second period before St. Francis' Kyle Wagner scored on the power play 79 seconds later.

However, it took BSM just 17 seconds to respond as Moore scored his 19th goal of the season and Besse scored short handed at 6:22.

The lone goal of the final period was an unassisted tally by Besse, who converted a turnover into his 19th goal of season at 5:49.

The Red Knights continue North Suburban Conference action, Friday, when they host Chisago Lakes at 7:30 p.m.
