BSM dominates but EP manages shutout win.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- After a scoreless 43 minutes, 13th-ranked Eden Prairie scoring twice in the game's final eight minutes to claim a 2-0 win over sixth-ranked Benilde-St. Margaret's.
Alex Hall scored a power-play goals with seven minutes, 47 seconds to play in the game, and he added an empty-net goal with 41 seconds remaining to secure the win.
The Red Knights held a 30-18 advantage in shots on goal. Mason McElroy stopped 16 of the 17 shots he faced.
BSM returns home and to Metro West Conference play Thursday, Jan. 18, versus Chaska. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
Mason Minor paced the Red Knight offense with five shots on goal.
