Koskie's six-point performance leads Red Knights past Jaguars

BSM maintains Metro Conference Lead with four-point win.

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Caleb Koskie had points on each of Benilde-St. Margarets' first four goals and recorded his first career hat trick and a six-point game to lead the Red Knights to a 9-1 win over Bloomington Jefferson.

Those four goals came in the span of five minutes, 16 seconds in the middle of the opening period.

Westan Quirk started the scoring for BSM with a short-handed tally with Norris scoring two minutes later.

Koskie scored on the Red Knights' only power-play goal of the game, at the 10:59 mark, followed by first-period goals by Dylan Propehn and A.J. Ulrich, the latter coming with with 1:09 to play in the first period.

Owen Baker then scored the Jaguars lone goal when he scored with 20 seconds to remain in the frame.

Koskie's second goal was the lone goal in the middle stanza with Ulrich winning a faceoff in the left offensive zone. Norris picked up the loose puck from the draw and carried the puck to the top of the slot.

Norris' shot was stopped but Koskie, positioned on the right side of the goal, poked home the rebound.

Cam Kirschner scored just 59 seconds into the third period with Koskie finishing his hat trick three minutes later followed by Norris' goal second goal of the game.


Ben Norris scored twice and recorded five points.

The Red Knights host a pair of ranked opponents this weekend, with defending Class A champion and second ranked Hermanton at 7 p.m. Friday.

Saturday sees 14th ranked Grand Rapids invading the St. Louis Park Red Center at 3 p.m. Saturday.
