Labosky sets up three, Moore tallies twice in Red Knight win.

After a scoreless first period, Benilde-St. Margaret's score twice in the second period, added four goals in the third period and handed Irondale a 6-1 loss in a North Suburban Conference game.

It took the Red Knights nearly 20 minutes before getting on the scoreboard when Grant Besse scored two minutes, 13 seconds into the second period and T.J. Moore made it a 2-0 game less than two minutes later. Dan Labosky assisted on both goals and also tallied an assist later in the game to finish with a three-point night.

Esko Aukee kept Irondale in the game by stopping 27 of 29 shots through the first two periods but a 25-shot barrage by BSM over the final 17 minutes finally put the game away.

Alec Anderson's third goal of the season at 3:21 of the final period got the Red Knights going and Evan Fleming's first varsity goal, a redirection of a Zach Gionet shot, came with 6:23 to play in the game.

Moore's second goal followed 76 seconds later and Gionet scored with 38 seconds remaining in the game.

Justin Quale lost his shutout bid when Gage Parsons got behind the BSM defense and scored with 14.3 seconds to play in the game.

The 6-1 victory keeps BSM atop the North Suburban Conference standings. The sixth-ranked Red Knights return to action tomorrow night when they host seventh-ranked Moorhead in a non-conference game. Opening faceoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center.
