Chumley's four-point effort leads BSM to victory.

Seth Chumley factored in on all four Benilde-St. Margaret's goals and a three-goal second period catapulted the Red Knights to a 4-2 win over Moorhead.

Chumley scored the only goal of the first period, six minutes, 48 seconds into the contest, to give BSM a 1-0 lead heading into the second period.

It took just 42 seconds into the middle stanza for Moorhead to tie the game as Grant Weiss scored on the power play, the first of his two power-play tallies in the game.

Three goals in a two-minute span late in the period snapped that 1-1 tie. The flurry of action started when Chris Hickok snapped a shot past Spuds goalie Tanner Johnson from the right faceoff circle.

Hickok's power-play goal was followed 40 seconds later by a Jack Sims goal, which would turn out to be the game winner. Storm Sullivan's team-leading 24th goal of the season finished the three-goal barrage, and Johnson's night, with 2:18 to play in the period.

Despite a 13-5 advantage in the final period, Peter McFarlane prevent the Red Knights from adding to their lead and Weiss' power-play goal with 8:10 to play in the game cut the lead to two goals.

For the game, BSM had a 37-16 advantage in shots on goal. Paul Lundberg stopped 14 shots to earn his sixth win of the season.

BSM is in action again Tuesday, with another non-conference game when the Red Knights face Bloomington Jefferson in a 5 p.m. game at the Bloomington Ice Garden.
