Gionet, Sullivan each score twice in win.

Zach Gionet scored a pair of second-period power-play goals, Storm Sullivan also scored twice, and the Benilde-St. Margaret's junior varsity cruised to a 9-1 win at Spring Lake Park.

Goals by Sullivan and Matt Cornell in the first period were the precursor to a dominant second period by the Red Knights, who scored four times while outshooting the Panthers, 29-6.

Tanner Ahlborn scored the first goal of the second period before Gionet notched his two power-play goals. Evan Fleming capped off the period and Matt Mogenson and Sullivan scored in the first three minutes of the final period.

Will Jarvis, who finished with nine saves, lost his bid for a shutout when BSM turned the puck over in its own zone and Nick Turnquist converted it into a power-play goal for the Panthers.

The Red Knights held a 62-10 advantage in shots on goal in the game while raising their record to 16-3-1. They return to action Monday, Feb. 6, when they face Wayzata at Plymouth Arena in a make up of the teams' postponed game from Jan. 5. Opening faceoff is slated for 5 p.m.
