Besse earns All-Metro honors

Red Knight junior just second player in BSM history to be named first team.

Benilde-St. Margaret's junior right wing Grant Besse has been named to the Minneapolis Star Tribune All-Metro First Team.

The second-leading Class AA scorer in the the Twin Cities Metro this season, he is just the second player in school history to earn first-team honors, following in the footsteps of 2008 selection Chris Student.

Besse has scored 44 goals and 82 points this season, both of which rank second in school annals, while becoming the first player in BSM history to record three consecutive 30-goal seasons, 50-point seasons and to reach 100 career goals.

Besse will help lead the Red Knights tomorrow night when they face Edina in a state Class AA quarterfinal game at the Xcel Energy Center.
