Offensive outburst enables BSM to collect first win of 2012-13.

Brady Artwohl assisted on the game-winning goal and scored two more to help seal BSM's first win of the season.

Benilde-St. Margaret's used a 38-13 advantage in shots on goal and scored twice in each period to cruise to its first victory of the season, a 6-2 win at Holy Angels.

The Red Knights' first two goals came just 36 seconds apart when Jack Lawton's blast from the right point found the back of the net and Conor Deterding scored on a goal-mouth scramble and they took that lead into the first intermission.

The Stars tied the game, getting a pair of unassisted goals, including a power-play tally just 1:33 into the second period, but the visitors would get those goals back before the period was over.

Mark Kaske skated into the slot out of the right faceoff circle and slid the puck under Holy Angels goalie Jack Trudell.

The second goal was a short handed effort by Brady Artwohl, who got loose in the slot and burried a Will Duda rebound with 1:04 to play in the middle stanza.

The Red Knights added two more goals in the final period, with Artwohl registering his second of the game with 7:22 to play while Jack Sims snuck a rebound past Trudell with 5:15 to play to finish the scoring.

Lawton, with a goal and an assist, and Kaske, who scored two goals and added an assist, led the BSM offense.

Patric Rooney made his debut in goal for the Red Knights and picked up the win by stopping 11 shots.

BSM returns to action, Saturday, for a home game with Blaine. Opening faceoff is slated for 5 p.m.
