Zach Risteau scored a goal and assisted on four others.
The Marshall School scored first and it took Benilde-St. Margarets JV squad over 19 minutes to get on the scoreboard but, once the Red Knights scored, they cruised, tallying seven times in the final 26 minutes for a 7-1 win over the Hilltoppers.
The hosts scored just one minute, 57 seconds into the game when Mark Skramstad converted his own rebound and that lead held up until 4:03 into the second period when Mark Kaske knotted the score at 1-1.
Less than two minutes later, Kaske set up Jack Lawton's goal from the left point and, before the period was over, Zach Risteau had given BSM a 3-1 lead.
The game then broke open early in the third period when Matt Arnason scored a power-play goal 81 second into the final frame and just over two minutes later made it a 5-1 game.
After the Red Knights' top line accounted for the first five goals, it was Justin Winter getting in on the scored at the 5:21 mark with his first goal of the season and, 46 seconds later, Kaske's second goal of the night sent the game into running time.
BSM held a 35-22 advantage in shots on goal and Peter Thome won his first game of the season by turning in a 21-save performance.
The Red Knights are in action again tomorrow with a 1 p.m. versus Hibbing.
