Clark earns fourth shutout of season

Despite 37 shots on goal, Benilde-St. Margaret's could muster just two goals but it was enough offense as Adam Clark posted his fourth shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over the Marshall School in Duluth.

The Red Knights had a 26-5 advantage in shots through two periods but it wasn't until seven minutes, 50 seconds of the midlde frame before they got on the scoreboard when John Kernan banged home a loose puck for his team-leading 13th goal of the season.

The hosts put more pressure on BSM in the third period, collecting seven of their 12 shots in the final 15 minutes, but Clark preserved the shuout and Chris Flood added an insurance goal with 5:13 remaining in the game.

Now 11-2-0 on the season, the Red Knights are home again Tuesday, Jan. 20, for a 5 p.m. game against Hill-Murray.
