Ponies' five-goal second period dooms BSM.

Jack Sims scored BSM's first goal and set up the other in the 6-2 loss.

Benilde-St. Margaret's jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first half of the opening period but a five-goal second period by Stillwater proved too much to overcome as the Red Knights fell to .500 in their season finale with a 6-2 loss to the Ponies.

Nate Meyer set up Jack Sims for the game's first goal just three minutes, 15 seconds into the contest and Sims return the favor just over four minutes later as Meyer gave his team a 2-0 lead.

Stillwater got on the scoreboard with 50 seconds to play in the opening period, cutting the lead in half, and then scored three times in a 41-second span early in the second period and then scored twice more in the final 1:15 of the middle frame to put the game out of reach.

The Ponies held a 34-14 advantage in shots on goal. Jalen Long kept Stillwater off the scoreboard as he came on in relief for the third period, stopping all 11 shots he faced.

BSM finishes the 2012-13 campaign with a 10-10-4 record.
