Red Knight JV opens with convincing with over St. Cloud Tech
Nine players score in 9-0 win.
The line of Dominic Burg, Vince Beacom and Nick Lauth combined for three goals and six points, leading the Benilde-St. Maragaret's junior varsity to a 9-0 win at St. Cloud Tech.
The trio combined on the first goal of the game as Beacom got the game's first marker, four minutes, 42 seconds into the contest. Burg would go on to score and unassisted goal with 20 seconds remaining in the second period and then set up Lauth's gola at 7:44 of the third period.
Taylor Topousis and Ned Nelson also chipped in with a goal and an assist in the game while Joey Winter and Michael Blessing both picked up a pair of assists.
Other goals came from Jeff Spellmire, Joe Haselman, Chris Flood and Lucas Dickison.
BSM launched 52 shots on goal while limited the Tigers to 10, noe of which came in the final period. Adam Clark earned the victory by stopping seven shots in 23:39 of work while Isaac Melin played the final 21:21 and turned aside three shots.
The Red Knights open the home portion of their schedule Friday, Dec. 4, when they entertain Stillwater at 5 p.m.
