Benilde-St. Margaret's Boys' Hockey

The Red Knights spotted Wayzata a 2 goal lead before storming back to defeat the Trojans by a score of 6 - 2.  Michael Blessing led the way with a hat trick, scoring the final 3 goals for the Red Knights. 

Wayzata opened the scoring at 11:41 of the first period on a shot by Andrew Fairbairn.  That was the only scoring in the period.  Wayzata increased their lead on a goal by Paul Voelker early in the second period. 

BSM got going when they went on the power play.  Tyler Ellegard found the back of the next with assists going to Joe Haselman and Seth Chumley.  The Red Knights tied the score about 4 minutes later on a goal by Joe Haselman on a feed from Ryan Minkoff.  BSM took the lead 37 seconds later on a shot by Seth Chumley, assisted by Nick Lauth and Taylor Topousis.  Micheal Blessing completed the scoring in the second period, scoring with 1 second remaining, with the assist going to Joey Winter.

Micheal Blessing had both goals in the third period to complete the scoring and his hat trick.  Wayzata outshot BSM by a 32- 25 margin.  Isaac Melin was in net and earned the victory.

The Red Knights next take on Bloomington Jefferson in the semi-finals of the tournament.
