#10 ranked Osseo visited the #11 ranked Red Knights in what was expected to be a tight and very competitive game.  Osseo played a very defensive game, limiting the high octane BSM offense to fewer scoring chances than they were typically accustomed to getting.  As the Red Knights have shown this season, they can play any style their opponents want to play.  Jacob Meyers was also up to the task, playing one of his strongest games of the season in net.

BSM got the first goal of the contest from Brett Patterson just 1:31 into the period, unassisted.  Osseo wasted little time in getting the equalizer at the 2:43 mark from their top sniper, Tim Bonner.  The Red Knights answered back as their senior line applied offensive pressure that paid off with David Tranvik scoring from Alec Anderson.  BSM took a 2 - 1 lead into the first intermission.

Osseo got the only 2 goals of the second period, Tim Bonner getting his second of the game at the 33 second mark, and his brother Patrick scoring at the 10:00 mark.  Osseo outshot the Red Knights 16 - 7, with Jacob Meyers making some key stops.  His best was yet to come in the third period.

BSM started the third period down 3 - 2 and Osseo came out intending to put the game away.  The Red Knight defense would bend a little but didn't break, in large part to the strong goaltending of Jacob Meyers.  The Red Knights finally cashed in on an Osseo turnover with Christian Horn feeding Pat Steinhauser with the tying goal with just 2:03 left in regulation.  The teams would go into overtime to try and settle the score, but neither team was able to find the back of the net, with the game ending in a 3 - 3 tie.
