BSM JV overpower Saints in 6 - 0 win

Red Knight JV outshoot St. Francis 53 - 4

The Red Knights controlled the game from the outset, leaving little doubt in their 6 - 0 victory over St. Francis.  BSM outshot the Saints 53 - 4, and only allowed 1 shot in the last 2 periods.  Six different Red Knights scored goals in the game.  BSM did such a strong job of shutting down St. Francis, Red Knight goaltender Isaac Melin did not face a shot when he replaced starting goalie Adam Clark midway through the game.

The Red Knights started the barrage with a 27 shot first period.  Joe Haselman got the first goal, shorthanded with the assist going to Michael Blessing at 5:27 of the period.  BSM then scored 2 goals within 46 seconds to open the lead to 3 - 0 before the first intermission.  Goal scorers were Chris Flood and Vince Beacom, with assists coming from Joe Haselman, Michael Blessing, Dominic Burg, and Tyler Ellegard.

The Red Knights continued their dominance in the second period, netting a pair of goals.  Dominic Burg scoring from Joey Winter at 2:24 of the period, and Michael Blessing getting the 5th goal of the game with the assist from Gabe MacDonald.

BSM added one more goal in the third period from Taylor Topousis, unassisted.  The Red Knights will next face Robbinsdale-Cooper on Tuesday night.
