Chris Flood nets overtime game winner

On Saturday, the team traveled to Chisago Lakes for an unexpected battle.  The Red Knights ended up winning 3 - 2 in overtime.  BSM had to overcome a 2 - 0 deficit in order to send the game into overtime.  Chris Flood had a hand in every goal as he assisted goals by Michael Blessing and then Dominic Burg to tie the game in the third period.  Chris Flood ended up scoring a shorthanded goal in the overtime leading the Red Knights to victory.  Isaac Melin made some key saves in the overtime period to give the team the chance to win.  The Chisago Lakes goalie made 48 saves against the Red Knights.

“I was very pleased with how the guys battled back on Saturday.  They stuck together and each player assumed their roles.  We received terrific sparks throughout the game from Ned Nelson, Robert Papetti, and Sam Mogenson when called upon.  This line was critical in giving us the spark and chance to win that we needed.  This was one of those games where you just get the win and get out of there.  This was a terrific gut check for all the guys and they showed some real character and responded.”
